Portrait: Rudi Dollinger

Rudi Dollinger is the hut tenant at Hohe Mut Alm in Obergurgl.

He appreciates the natural location of his adopted home at 2670 meters above sea level on a mountain ridge, surrounded by 21 peaks higher than three thousand meters. In both summer and winter, it is definitely one of the most scenic places within Ötztal. He produces stone pine schnaps together with Ivan from his team. For 22 years he has been picking the stone pines in the stone pine forest in August, in order to process them and prepare schnapps. The exact recipe remains a secret.
