No matter how cozy the holiday apartment is, you are of course in Gurgl for skiing. And for many good reasons. The ski area, stretching from 1800 to over 3000 meters above sea level, is one of the most snow-sure in the entire Alpine region – therefore Gurgl is one of the first winter ski areas in Austria to open its ski slopes as early as mid-November until they close again in late April. 112 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes offer enough space for wide carving turns. 25 top modern mountain lifts take you quickly to the top again. At the very top you will find the Top Mountain Star panorama bar in Hochgurgl, which nestles on a narrow rock ridge at over 3000 meters. An experience (and a view) that you should definitely not miss.

Besides the panorama bar in Hochgurgl, there is also Hohe Mut Alm in Obergurgl. Here you can enjoy not only delicious food, but also an incredible 360-degree view of the glacier-topped mountains of upper Ötztal. It’s not without reason that Hohe Mut ranks among the most beautiful mountain ridges in Tirol. Special tip: Order a hot chocolate, secure a deckchair on the sun-kissed terrace and just let the wintry mountain panorama work its magic on you.
