The starting point is at the Umhausen information desk. From there you hike up through the village and continue in the direction of Niederthai. At Bischoffsplatz, follow the signposted winter hiking trail in the direction of the Stuibenfall, past the Ötzi Village and the Birds of Prey Park (only open in summer) until you reach a bridge. Cross this and you can already see the forest cafe Stuböbele. Sporty types can turn right and get to the foot of the Stuibenfall - Tyrol's largest waterfall. The hike leads past the Stuböbele forest cafe to the Steppsteig junction. Follow the winter hiking trail through the snow-covered forest and enjoy the panorama of Umhausen. At the end of the path, follow the signs to Umhausen and get back to the starting point.

The starting point is at the Umhausen information desk. From there you hike up through the village and continue in the direction of Niederthai. Public transport

Travel safe and comfortable with the train to the Ötztal Bahnhof train station. Last stop and exit point is the train station Ötztal Bahnhof. Afterwards you can travel smoothly and quick with the public transport or out local taxi companies through the valley to your desired destination. Directions

The car drive to the Ötztal valley. Situated in Tirol, the Ötztal valley set off in southerly direction and is the longest side valley in the Eastern Alps. The journey with the car leads you through the Inntal valley to the entrance of the vallly and further on through the valley. Among the toll motorways you can also use the country roads.
