In general: the higher the ski area, the more snow is guaranteed. Precipitation usually falls as snow as early as autumn and it lasts at higher altitudes well into spring. The Obergurgl-Hochgurgl ski area stretches from an altitude of 1800 meters up to 3030 meters above sea level. This high alpine altitude promises absolute snow guarantee from mid-November to late April as well as the best conditions for skiing in Austria. And if Mother Hulda needs a little extra help after all: more than 90% of Gurgl’s ski slopes er equipped snow-making devices, so nothing stands in the way of exclusive skiing fun.
