This very nice, medium hike from Oetz will lead you to viewing point `Seejöchl` above the Lake `Piburger See`. The hike begins in the center of Oetz. You hike through the romantic forest along a wide forest path (Elsingerweg) to Kohlstatt and towards the direction of Seejöchl. The Rudolf Schock path has been renovated and widened. The path climbs quite steeply in places, so that hiking poles are recommended as a support on the winter path. To get to the viewing platform, you will have to branch off from the main path. The view over the wintry `Piburger See` and the snowy mountains on the opposite side of the valley are a reward for the ascent. Back in the forest you walk towards `Piburg and from there `you follow the path on the right towards `Piburgersee`. You walk along the `Piburgersee` for a while until you get to a restaurant. By the restaurant `Seehäusel` turn right and follow the path until you reach the wide forest path again, which you cross and then follow the path to the spectacular bridge `Wellerbrücke`. From there you walk back on the path to Oetz.
