The Top Mountain Star ranks among the most scenic excursion destinations of Ötztal. The perfect blend of a 360-degree mountain panorama, a refreshing breeze and an exquisite range of food enchants all visitors - spirits are always high. Hochgurgl is the starting point for this unique highlight: from there the mountain gondola of Hochgurglbahn II promises an almost effortless ascent. A chairlift covers the last stage towards the summit ridge of Wurmkogl. From afar you can make out the glass dome framed by steel girders jutting out into the endless sky. A true architectural masterpiece and skillful contrast to the rocky 3000 m high summits.
It doesn't matter if someone climbs the stairs to the Panorama Bar for the first time or returns as a regular, the view from the Top Mountain Star always makes you humble - and just happy. To enjoy the moment to the full, guests are spoiled with mouth-watering snacks and drinks by the friendly bar staff. Even a mountain conquest is easy like a summer day: it takes only about 15 minutes to hike up the steep summit path leading to 3082 m high Wurmkogl peak.
