New Rosskarbahn Gondola

More comfort for skiers

From winter 21/22 Gurgl once more highlights its privilege in terms of Top Quality Skiing with the new Rosskar Mountain Gondola. The state-of-the-art gondola lift, constructed by the Austrian industry leader Doppelmayr, scores with an overall transport capacity of 2400 people per hour. In just under nine minutes, both winter sports aficionados and pedestrians are whisked from the center of Obergurgl up to the slopes and restaurants of Festkogl Alm at 2668 m. The Omega V gondola cabins offer plenty of space for up to 10 people. It's not just the inner values of the cabins including heated seats that stand out thanks to top comfort. Due to the "D-Line" technology, the mountain gondola is highly windproof and runs extremely smooth.

Best mountain gondola for this ski mountain

Compared to the previous mountain lift, the new Rosskar Mountain Gondola shines due to further advantages. The two sections can be operated independently. This fact makes it possible that skiers can enjoy the top conditions on the slopes between the middle and mountain stations during the preseason.

If the wind is too strong in the upper part, the lower section can be operated independently. A new era begins for pedestrians and non-winter sportspeople: You now reach Festkogl Alm right from the village center while the mountain restaurant attracts with a new gastronomic concept and picture-book views from the terrace.
