The start and end point of the Bodenegg mountain bike round tour is the Freizeit Arena in the centre of Sölden. Facing the Freizeit Arena, start to the right and follow the Ötztal Cycle Path 11 to the valley station of the Gaislachkogelbahn. Upon reaching the Gaislachkogelbahn turn right to get onto federal road B186, follow this until the junction with the Glacier Road from the federal road. Continue here to the right up the steep Glacier Road, after two hairpin bends leave the Glacier Road and follow the Infang Road to the left. Past the Infang, take the next option (red barrier) left onto the Upper Gewerbestraße and follow this until the federal road B186 is reached. Here, follow the federal road B186 to the right and arrive at Zwieselstein. Within the town, take the first right turn before the Brückenwirt guesthouse. From there, ride a forest road left of the Venter Ache to Bodenegg. At Bodenegg, the path leads back to Zwieselstein and then back to Sölden. The route between Zwieselstein and Bodenegg is known as a mountain bike race track, on which several international mountain bike races have already taken place.
Especially on hot days, this mountain bike round is a pleasure as you are constantly riding in the shady forest, and the Venter Ache provides a cool breeze. An attractive and varied route which on the return from Bodenegg can also be seen as an easy single trail. At the end of the mountain bike tour, you can end your cosy mountain bike day with a Tyrolean dish at the guesthouse. The round is also suitable, for example, for acclimatisation on the day of arrival – after all, Zwieselstein is at almost 1500 meters above sea level.

Arrival by train
Travel comfortably and safely by train to the Ötztal train station. Directly at the train station square, a scheduled bus departs towards Obergurgl. The bus journey to Sölden takes about 1 - 1.5 hours.

Sölden is located in western Austria in the state of TIROL, in a southern side valley of the Inn valley - the ÖTZTAL.

from Vorarlberg to Tyrol via the Arlberg Pass or through the Arlberg Tunnel (S 16) - Landeck - Motorway A 12 towards Innsbruck - exit Ötztal after Roppener Tunnel - B 186 (35 km) to Sölden
From the north:
- Bad Tölz - Achenpass - B 181 - Jenbach - A 12 Innsbruck towards Bregenz - exit Ötztal - B 186 (35 km) to Sölden
- Pfronten - Reutte - Fernpass - Imst - A 12 towards Innsbruck - exit Ötztal after Roppener Tunnel or B 171 Tiroler Straße to Ötztal (toll-free) - B 186 (35 km) to Sölden
- Garmisch Partenkirchen - Ehrwald - Lermoos - Fernpass - Imst - A 12 towards Innsbruck - exit Ötztal after Roppener Tunnel or B 171 Tiroler Straße to Ötztal (toll-free) - B 186 (35 km) to Sölden

from Bolzano towards Brenner (toll road) - Brenner motorway via toll station Schönberg towards Innsbruck - from Innsbruck on A 12 towards Bregenz to Ötztal entrance - continue on B 186 (35 km) to Sölden
Parking
There are sufficient parking spaces available at the valley stations of the Gaislachkoglbahn and the Giggijochbahn; parking garages are also available.
