Trail for beginners. Dream scenery, beautiful trails. The start takes place at just under 2,000 m above sea level in Obergurgl. After 1 kilometer for warming up, runners enter the Swiss pine forest. There, a 3-kilometer-long ascent awaits up to the first refreshment station at the Schönwieshütte. After a refreshment, the route runs into the beautiful Rotmoostal, where participants are accompanied by the fantastic natural spectacle to the Hohe Mut Alm and the second refreshment station. Arriving at 2,670 m, a downhill leads through the Gaisbergtal towards Obergurgl. For the last 2 km, runners enjoy the cheers of the spectators until the finish.
Author’s recommendation
Before tackling the downhill towards the Gaisbergtal, a short stop at the Hohe Mut Alm offers a chance to recharge energy for the remaining 7 km.
