The themed trail takes you through the "Obergurgl Stone Pine Forest". The Zirbenwald of Obergurgl is a unique natural monument of remarkable beauty and ecological importance.

Here grow stone pines over 300 years old. These trees can withstand extreme conditions and are adapted to the high altitude and harsh climate of the Alps. Mosses, lichens, and rare alpine flowers thrive among the stone pines, while birds such as alpine choughs and golden eagles patrol the skies.

Occasionally, chamois and marmots can be observed in the steep slopes and rocks of the forest.

How do you find your treasure?

Along the marked route (themed trail Zirbenweg) are small caches (treasure boxes). Each cache contains a puzzle. Solve it and enter the letters into the treasure map. When you have solved everything, you can form a word/solution from it. With this, you then make your way to the Gurgl information point. There you search for the item that represents the word/solution.

There are other caches here too - maybe you want to extend your hike.
