Frequently Asked Questions
How is the route/daily schedule?
With the shuttle bus, you travel from the center of Gurgl to the middle station. From there, follow the forest path for about 25 minutes until a trail branches off to the left. Following this trail, you will turn right after a few minutes of walking to reach the entrance of the via ferrata. At this junction, it is advisable to put on the via ferrata equipment to avoid delays for other climbers at the entrance. The approach to the via ferrata is properly marked. Total walking time from Middle Station Hohe-Mut-Bahn is about 45 minutes.
Descent:
Marked paths lead from the exit of both via ferrata variants to the mountain station Hohe-Mut-Bahn. From the easier right variant, you ascend in a few meters of elevation to the mountain station of the Hohe-Mut-Bahn in about 15 minutes. The exit from the more difficult left variant is already in the immediate vicinity of the mountain station Hohe-Mut-Bahn. For the descent, there are two options: hiking through the Rotmoostal back into the valley or taking the Hohe Mut Bahn to the middle station and walking down or using the shuttle bus directly to the center of Gurgl.
