Frequently Asked Questions

What is the route?
Take the Hohe-Mut cable car from the center of Gurgl to the middle station. From there, walk along the forest path for approx. 25 minutes until a path branches off to the left. Follow this path and after a few minutes' walk turn right to the start of the via ferrata. At this junction, it is advisable to put on your via ferrata equipment so as not to cause any delays for other climbers at the start. The approach to the via ferrata is signposted accordingly. Total walking time from the Hohe Mut cable car middle station approx. 45 minutes.

Descent:
From the exit of both via ferrata variants, marked paths lead to the Hohe Mut cable car mountain station. From the easier, right-hand variant, you ascend a few meters in altitude in approx. 15 minutes to the Hohe Mut cable car mountain station. The exit of the more difficult, left-hand variant is already in the vicinity of the Hohe-Mut-Bahn mountain station. There are two options for the descent: hike back to the valley via Rotmosstal or take the Hohe Mut cable car directly to the village center of Gurgl
